4. Quickly crafting more specific search statements is possible with advanced search tools. For instance, img html will produce worse results than img html -w3.
5. Using Autohotkey or AppleScript, you can automate repetitive computer chores. Make the computer perform a sequence “so simple a computer can do it” by repeatedly performing it.
Mira Costa High Ranked Among Top 500 Schools Nationwide – Top 70 In California:
Mira Costa High School gets an overall A score for being a model institution for its graduation rate and preparing those grads for college. “Mira Costa High School is ranked 64th within California. Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement coursework and exams. The AP participation rate at Mira Costa High School is 80%,” according to U.S. News and World Report. Mira Costa was ranked 27th for Los Angeles. U.S. News gave Mira Costa an overall grade of 97.54% after accounting for subject knowledge, participation in A.P. exams, and graduation rate, which is 96%.

Manhattan Beach, California, is synonymous with volleyball, particularly beach volleyball. The city’s sun-kissed sands have become a breeding ground for some of the sport’s most accomplished players. The Manhattan Beach Open, held annually since 1960, is often called the “Wimbledon of Beach Volleyball.” It attracts the world’s best players and is a significant part of the city’s sports heritage. Winning this prestigious tournament is a coveted achievement, and we can forever view each victor’s name on the Manhattan Beach Pier. Congratulations to Taylor Crabb, Taylor Sander, Besti Flint, and Julia Scoles for winning last weekend! Famous MB players include three-time Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings. Walsh Jennings partnered with Misty May-Treanor to form one of the most successful duos in beach volleyball history. Another powerhouse is Mike Dodd, a native of Manhattan Beach and a five-time winner of the Manhattan Beach Open. The city’s high schools and colleges are hotbeds for nurturing volleyball talent, often feeding players into professional ranks. Mira Costa girls volleyball just beat the top-ranked team in the country, and coach Cam Green could lead the Mustang girls to a national championship. The community’s involvement in the sport, from youth leagues to professional tournaments, has created a vibrant volleyball culture. In Manhattan Beach, volleyball is more than just a sport; it’s a way of life. The city’s dedication to nurturing talent in world-class facilities and a beautiful setting continues to make it a global hub for volleyball enthusiasts and professionals.

Catalina Classic Statue Commemorates 46 Years Of MB Paddling History:
Manhattan Beach and the South Bay Boardriders Club unveiled a statue honoring the Catalina Classic Paddleboard Race. Although the event began approximately 70 years ago, it has been held annually for 46 years. The life-size monument, which is located on the sand just outside the lower south pier parking lot, features three paddlers: a man standing up with a board behind him, a woman lying stomach-down on her board, and a man kneeling on his board as he prepares to launch into the water.

Linda Stone, a former Microsoft executive, decided to conduct an informal study (“dining room table science,” she called it), inviting 200 people into her home – friends, neighbors, family members – and monitoring their heart rate and breathing while they checked their email. She said roughly 80% of participants periodically held their breath or altered their breathing. She named the phenomenon “email apnea” and described her findings in a widely read 2008 piece in The Huffington Post. Ms. Stone has since expanded the concept and renamed it “screen apnea,” referring to the disruption of breathing many of us experience doing all kinds of tasks in front of a screen.

A: Mercado is a culture of family and hospitality and that is one of my favorite parts of being here.

Mall Employees Recount Teen Fight In Del Amo Fashion Center:
Around a thousand teens fought on Sunday, August 27, at the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance. Mall workers said this was the second similar incident at the upscale mall in a month. According to the staff, the brawl started at the mall’s movie theater before moving to other parts of the mall. The fight’s origin is still being investigated. Torrance Police Department also noted that police gave some kids tickets.

If you’re yearning to experience what a Denny’s restaurant in a lousy neighborhood feels like, I suggest a quick trip to the Corner Bakery in Manhattan Village Manhattan Beach. We can start with the food quality, which tastes like it was all created with the cheapest ingredients known to man. The service level has all the charm of a poorly run cafeteria in an under-achieving high school. Honest to God, I wanted to like the Corner Bakery when I first walked in. The thought of having a nicely run casual restaurant amidst all the over-priced retail stores in the Manhattan Village was very appealing. But alas, that is where the dream sadly ended.

He bought some items, and as he exited the store, a woman ran past him with her arms loaded with unpaid products and jumped into a car waiting for her. My son yelled and called her (two words). A woman entering the store says that’s a bit harsh! My son said she stole all those products and got away in a new Mercedes! Welcome to the neighborhood.

The recent sentencing of former Minneapolis police officer Tou Thao for his role in the tragic death of George Floyd has left many questioning the adequacy of the justice served. Thao’s nearly five-year state prison sentence, running concurrently with a federal sentence, falls far short of delivering the accountability demanded by his actions. While fellow officer Derek Chauvin knelt on George Floyd’s neck, Thao’s passive complicity symbolized a grave failure to intervene and uphold his duty to protect citizens. This sentencing, however, does not reflect the gravity of his negligence. Thao’s lack of remorse and failure to apologize during the hearing and his role as an experienced officer demand a more substantial penalty. While Judge Peter Cahill acknowledged that Thao bore less culpability than Chauvin, his sentence should have clearly stated that law enforcement must be held to the highest standards. A few years in prison for assisting in the death of a man is a disheartening verdict when considering the life lost and the pain inflicted upon George Floyd’s family and the broader community. Accountability in cases like these is essential to restoring public trust in law enforcement. The sentencing of Tou Thao should have sent a more vital message, serving as a reminder that officers who fail to act in the face of injustice will face appropriate consequences. Society deserves a justice system that holds those responsible accountable, and this case’s outcome is a reminder of the work that remains to be done.

Just days after a fight broke out at the Del Amo Fashion Center, authorities in Torrance stated that there will be “increased police presence and patrol” citywide moving into the holiday season, especially at shopping areas. The “top priority” of the city, according to a joint statement from Torrance Mayor George Chen and Police Chief Jay Hart, is public safety: “The Torrance Police Department strives to provide all community members with a safe and positive experience when visiting Torrance. We stand united with our community partners and oppose any individuals who come to Torrance to disrupt or violate the law.
